In a recent candid interview, Areeka Haq Breaks Silence on what she described as a “disturbing trend” among a few influencers who, according to her, intentionally circulate their own inappropriate videos to attract media coverage and boost their online visibility.
She noted that the thirst for virality has pushed certain individuals to exploit controversy as a shortcut to popularity.

“Earlier, couple-based content used to trend. But as the novelty wore off, some girls began finding more provocative means to stay relevant,” she remarked.
Areeka emphasized that while such incidents are not the norm, she believes a handful of creators have deliberately made their private videos public to manipulate public attention.
Areeka Haq Breaks Silence further by explaining how her own experience in the social media world differs. She clarified that she has never collaborated with male influencers in suggestive content, nor has she ever felt compelled to chase views through sensationalism.
She also expressed regret that her initial perception that the women involved were solely victims has changed after observing repeat patterns in such cases.
The conversation comes amid a spate of alleged video leaks involving TikTok personalities such as Minahil Malik, Sajal Malik, Samia Hijab, Amsha Rehman, and Aliza Sehr, whose private clips recently went viral, sparking outrage and speculation online.
