Minor girl raped in Islamabad in broad daylight: FIR registered

ISLAMABAD: An unknown man raped a minor, 8-year-old girl, in broad daylight and fled away in the presence of residents of Mohallah Diptian in Shahzad Town, Islamabad.

The medico-legal team of the hospital confirmed the rape.

The Shahzad Town police have registered an FIR against an unknown rapist under sections 376 and 377/B of the Pakistan Penal Code. Father of the victim lodged the complaint.

However, how the rapist escaped in presence of the people of the area? It is a shocking situation.

According to the FIR, Hazar Gul, an eight-year Afghan girl, is living with her family in Shahzad Town area in Islamabad. The family has been living in Mohallah Diptian, near Mariam Masjid.

“I was present at my house along with my elder brother when we heard some noises in the street. We rushed out of the house and saw a young man running towards us. Without understanding the situation, we both tried to get hold of the man, but he ran off from our custody,” the complainant told the police.

He said, “We moved towards the place where some people were gathered and found my minor daughter crying there.”

The girl told her father that she was playing near her house when, all of a sudden, a man drag her to an under-construction house, raped her and ran away.

Meanwhile, the DPO Islamabad (Rural) has asked the Shahzad Town police to take the case as a challenge. He directed the area police to make headway to arrest the rapist.
