Expecting a rush of PTI’s supporters and the limited capacity of courtroom 1, the court said that only 55 passes will be issued for this case by the court’s registrar.

The larger bench will be headed by Chief Justice Athar Minallah and it includes Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb, Justice Babar Sattar and Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri.

IHC’s larger bench comprising Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, Justice Babar Sattar and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb will hear the contempt case against Imran Khan probably from Tuesday (August 23).

PTI Additional Secretary-General Omar Ayub urged the court to nullify the August 2 ruling, and also revoke the ECP’s show-cause notice sent to PTI Chairperson Imran Khan.

A case was registered against Imaan at Islamabad’s Ramna police station under PPC sections 138 (Abetment of act of insubordination by soldier) and 505 (Statements conducing to public mischief).
