ISLAMABAD: The Surpeme Court of Pakistan today reinstated Lahore Police chief Ghulam Mahmood Dogar.

In November 2022, the federal government had suspended Ghulam Mahmood Dogar as the Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) of Lahore for his failure to ensure security of the Governor House when PTI workers attacked it after assassination attempt on Imran Khan.

PTI supporters have gathered outside Governor House in Lahore when some of them attacked the main entrance.

The two member bench of the Federal Service Tribunal (FST) has revoked the federal government’s decision of suspension of the Lahore CCPO Dogar, Samaa TV reported today.

Scores of the PTI supporters and activists ransacked the main gate of Governor House in Lahore during protest against murderous attack on PTI chief Imran Khan.

As it was the responsibility of the Lahore police to maintain security of Governor House, the federal government took action against the city policy chief and suspended Ghulam Mahmood Dogar.
