The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has terminated the membership of 22 leaders, including former Punjab chief minister Usman Buzdar and ex-federal minister Khusro Bakhtiar, who switched allegiance after the May 9 incident. PTI’s secretary general, Omar Ayub Khan, issued letters notifying the leaders of the termination of their membership.

The letters were mostly identical, informing each leader about the day they publicly distanced themselves from the Imran Khan-led party. The PTI has instructed these leaders to refrain from using the party’s name and warned of potential legal action if the advice is not heeded.
