ISLAMABAD: Rawalpindi Police successfully located a former cop who had been missing for several years. The missing cop Mustaqeem was recovered from a beggar gang on Tuesday.

Mustaqeem Khalid joined the police force in 2006, entering service at the young age of 20. However, his absence from duty without explanation led to his dismissal in 2011.

In 2016, Khalid disappeared unexpectedly from his residence in Kalar Syedan. His family, deeply concerned and noting his unstable mental state, tirelessly searched for him.

For seven years, Khalid remained unaccounted for until the police discovered him begging in Dheri Hassanabad. He was allegedly abducted by a gang.

Alongside Khalid’s recovery, the police apprehended three women associated with the gang, including sisters Samina and Maryam.

Authorities suspect the gang originates from Sindh and are conducting raids to apprehend additional members.
