Islamabad, May 22, 2025: Popular Pakistani actress Alizeh Shah has finally addressed the swirling plastic surgery rumors that have sparked widespread debate on social media.

Refuting claims of any cosmetic enhancements, the young star clarified that her changing appearance is the result of natural ageing and significant weight loss—not surgery.

The actress’s candid response has reignited conversations around body image, celebrity scrutiny, and the pressure to look perfect in the public eye.

Alizeh Shah, known for her performances in hit Pakistani dramas like Ishq Tamasha, Ehd-e-Wafa, and most recently Ishq Beparwah, took to Instagram to directly confront the speculation surrounding her looks. With over 4.3 million followers, her heartfelt video quickly gained traction.

In her message, Alizeh said,

“Please, for God’s sake! I haven’t undergone any cosmetic surgeries; leave me alone. I’ve just lost some weight, which is why I look different. When I did Ehd-e-Wafa, I was only seventeen… Now I’m 23—how can I still look like a teenager?”

Her honest explanation came in response to a recent TV appearance by veteran actress Saba Faisal, who stirred controversy by commenting on celebrities’ natural appearances.

When asked about Alizeh, Saba bluntly remarked, “She’s twenty per cent natural. The rest seems artificial.” This bold statement fueled a new wave of online scrutiny.

Social Media Reactions:
The internet was quick to react. While some fans rallied in support of Alizeh Shah, praising her transparency and slamming the body-shaming, others remained skeptical. One supporter commented,

“Stop targeting her—she’s clearly going through tough times. Mental health matters more than appearances.” On the flip side, a critic bluntly wrote, “Your nose has changed. Don’t pretend nothing’s been done.”

This divide highlights the ongoing tension celebrities face—torn between personal evolution and public expectations.

According to media analysts, female actors in Pakistan often deal with double standards. A senior showbiz journalist shared, “The obsession with actresses maintaining the same look over the years is unhealthy. Growth, physically and emotionally, should be celebrated—not judged.”

Comparatively, global celebrities like Ariana Grande and Selena Gomez have faced similar rumors, showing this is not just a local issue but a global pattern of celebrity policing.
