The Israel Defense Forces announced that they had successfully eliminated a high-ranking Hezbollah commander from the Radwan Force, along with his deputy, in a targeted strike conducted in southern Lebanon the previous night.

The strike targeted a building used by Hezbollah in Nabatieh, resulting in the deaths of Ali Muhammad al-Debes and his deputy Hassan Ibrahim Issa.

Al-Debes, identified as a commander within the Radwan Force, was implicated in orchestrating a bombing incident at Israel’s Megiddo Junction in March 2023, which inflicted serious injuries on a civilian.

Additionally, he was involved in planning and executing various other attacks against Israel amidst the ongoing border conflict.

According to Lebanese officials, the strike resulted in the deaths of 10 individuals, including three Hezbollah members and seven civilians from a single family. Lebanese security sources indicated that the Hezbollah operatives were situated on the ground floor of the targeted building, while the civilian family occupied the floor above.

Reports from Lebanese sources reveal that al-Debes had previously survived an Israeli strike in Nabatieh a week prior, during which he sustained injuries. He was reportedly responsible for overseeing Palestinian affairs within the terror group.

Another individual identified by Hezbollah as Hussein Ahmad Aqeel, aged 36 and hailing from Jebbayn, was also listed among those killed in the operation.
