Army Chief General Asim Munir meets Kuwait’s Crown Prince to discuss matters of mutual interest

Army Chief General Asim Munir engaged in an official visit to Kuwait, meeting with Kuwait’s Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported it today.

The meeting included Caretaker Law Minister Ahmed Irfan Aslam, Pakistan Ambassador to Kuwait Malik Mohammad Farooq, and other members of the delegation.

Army Chief of Pakistan discussed issued of mutual interest with Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

Meanwhile, PM Kakar, having concluded his visit to the UAE, also reached Kuwait City and is anticipated to meet the crown prince today.

The Prime Minister is also scheduled to meet Kuwait’s Prime Minister, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.

The PM Office highlighted that several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) are set to be signed, fostering cooperation in areas such as manpower, information technology, minerals and mining, food security, energy, and defense.

During the UAE visit, Pakistan inked numerous multi-billion dollar MoUs across various sectors on Monday, aiming to elevate economic and strategic collaboration between the two nations, as stated by PM Kakar.

The Prime Minister emphasized that these MoUs mark a new phase in bilateral economic and strategic relations, hailing the enduring friendship between Pakistan and the UAE that was initiated by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in the 1970s and furthered by his son, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

PM Kakar expressed optimism that the signed MoUs would swiftly transition into tangible projects for both countries.
