Before US inflation, European stocks steady at open

At the open on Tuesday, European stock markets were relatively calm as investors awaited the release of the latest US inflation data.

The FTSE 100 in London fell 7.30 points, or 0.1%, to 7,464.30.

The DAX in Frankfurt climbed 0.1% to 13,409.04 points, while the CAC 40 in Paris increased 0.2% to 6,347.19.

Traders on European stock markets remained cautious at the open on Tuesday as they awaited the publication of fresh US inflation data.

At 7,464.30, the FTSE 100 in London was down 7.30 points, or 0.1%.

Frankfurt’s DAX rose 0.1% to 13,409.04, while Paris’ CAC 40 rose 0.2% to 6,347.19.
