She wrote, “In less than three weeks you can barely notice where I had the tumour removed.” Despite some tenderness, she said she felt “good” and would “always wear this scar with pride.”
Expressing appreciation for her medical team, Cotton thanked her surgeon for making her feel calm and her nurses, particularly Nurse Jackie, for their caring and attentive approach during her hospital stay.

The discovery of Cotton’s tumours came shortly after her friend and fellow TV presenter Davina McCall underwent surgery to remove a benign colloid cyst from her brain. Cotton acknowledged the support she received from McCall, calling her “a beacon of light and positivity” throughout the experience.
