TURBAT/ISLAMABAD: A horrifying attack on a police station in Balochistan’s Turbat, carried out by unidentified assailants, resulted in the tragic deaths of five individuals, including a police officer.
Authorities have categorically labeled this attack as an act of terror.
The victims, who were laborers hailing from Punjab, have been identified as Mohammad Uzair, Baqar Ali, Shehbaz Ahmed, and Shehzad Ahmed, with Shehbaz and Shehzad being brothers.
Tragically, the lifeless bodies of the deceased were transported to Teaching Hospital Turbat, while another laborer sustained injuries during the violent attack.
Caretaker Information Minister Jan Achakzai unequivocally confirmed that the gunfire represented a terrorist act and vehemently condemned the targeting of unarmed laborers.

In parallel, interim Chief Minister Ali Mardan Khan Domki has summoned a detailed report from the Ministry of Home and Tribal Affairs.
Furthermore, he pledged to ensure that those responsible for this heinous attack are held accountable.
It is a sorrowful occurrence as this marks the second such incident in Turbat this month where laborers from Punjab have been the victims of violence.
Earlier this month, an overnight assault on laborers while they were sleeping in an under-construction house in Turbat city resulted in the death of at least six laborers, leaving two others injured.
The victims, including two brothers, were identified as Rizwan, Shehbaz, Waseem, Shafiq Ahmed, Mohammad Naeem, and Sikander, further highlighting the gravity of the situation.
Balochistan has become a soft target for the terrorist attacks. The province has recorded several incidents of terrorist attacks which killed many security personnel and civilians.
