Govt to pay salary and pension before eid holidays
ISLAMABAD: The federal government will salary of current month to the employees of public sector departments before the beginning of Eid holidays.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar took the decision in a meeting in Islamabad on Wednesday.
It was also decided that the monthly pension will also be given before Eid-ul-Fitr.
Therefore, the Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar directed the Secretary Finance to make arrangements to pay salary and pension to employees before holidays.
Five-day Eidul-Fitr holidays are starting from 20th of April 2023. Eidul-Fitr will be celebrated after moon-sighting.
The first day of the fasting month started on March 20. Hence, Eidul-Fitr is also expected on April 20.
