OGRA increases LPG price for October
ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has increased the notified price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by Rs20.68 per kilogramme for October.
Following the latest revision, LPG will be available at a notified price of Rs279.34 per kg.
11.8kg LPG cylinder becomes costlier
The price of a standard 11.8kg domestic LPG cylinder has also increased by Rs244.14, reaching Rs3,296.23 for October.
The revised rates will remain effective throughout the month, according to OGRA’s notification.
LPG users to face higher costs
The increase will raise the cost of LPG for households using the fuel for cooking and other domestic needs.
LPG is widely used by households without access to piped natural gas, as well as by commercial consumers and transport operators.
OGRA notifies monthly LPG prices
OGRA determines and notifies LPG prices on a monthly basis. The regulator also publishes notifications covering indigenous LPG prices for different months.
With the latest increase, the notified LPG price has risen by more than Rs20 per kg, while the price of a standard domestic cylinder has increased by more than Rs240 compared with the previous month.
