Islamabad, June 6, 2025: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday conveyed heartfelt condolences over the passing of Senator and Federal Minister Abbas Afridi.
In his message, the PM prayed to Almighty Allah to raise the departed soul’s status in Jannah. He also extended prayers for strength and patience to the grieving family during this difficult time.
Former federal minister Abbas Afridi passed away on Friday after succumbing to injuries sustained in a gas explosion at his residence in the Azam area of Kohat district.

Afridi, as per police and family sources, was severely injured in the blast, which occurred on Thursday, and was receiving treatment at a hospital where he later died.Â
