In a decisive intelligence-based Kurram operation, Pakistan’s security forces successfully eliminated seven Khawarij militants in the Dogar area of Kurram district. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation targeted militants affiliated with Fitnatul Khawarij, reportedly backed by hostile foreign elements.
During the intense exchange of fire, Captain Nauman Saleem, a 24-year-old medical officer, along with five other soldiers, embraced martyrdom while defending their homeland. Captain Saleem displayed remarkable bravery by providing medical assistance to his injured comrades while actively engaging the militants until his last breath.
The martyred soldiers include Havaldar Amjad Ali (39) from Swabi, Naik Waqas Ahmed (36) from Rawalpindi, Sepoy Ejaz Ali (23) from Shikarpur, Sepoy Muhammad Waleed (23) from Jhelum, and Sepoy Muhammad Shahbaz (32) from Khairpur.
ISPR confirmed that clearance operations are ongoing to root out any remaining militants and dismantle their support networks. The statement reiterated that such operations will continue under the National Action Plan and Azm-e-Istehkam, reflecting Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to eradicate terrorism and maintain national peace and stability.
In recent months, counterterrorism efforts have intensified across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, where security forces have increased intelligence-led operations to suppress rising militant activity along border regions.
