Islamabad, May 7, 2025: As border tensions with India intensify, the Sindh Home Department has placed all law enforcement agencies across the province on high alert to safeguard public life and property.

This precaution comes in response to fresh hostilities along the eastern border, prompting authorities to step up emergency readiness.

Sindh Home Minister Zia Lanjar has ordered the full mobilization of civil defense systems in the province. Speaking to media, Lanjar stressed that all emergency sirens and public warning systems must be functional and ready to deploy instantly.

Public shelters are to be identified and made fully operational to protect civilians in the event of further escalation.

In a related briefing, the Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) detailed the latest developments in the ongoing confrontation.

He confirmed that Indian forces had carried out targeted strikes across the Line of Control (LoC), focusing on civilian areas and religious sites—a move he described as a blatant violation of international law.

The Home Department continues to coordinate with federal authorities to ensure a unified and effective response to the unfolding security crisis.
