Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has launched a new hybrid solar water heater that uses solar energy as well as electricity as a backup to heat water .
The company introduced the system through a video shared on its official X account, under the title “Now heat water smartly.” According to SNGPL, the electric backup allows consumers to heat water even when sunlight is insufficient or weather conditions are unfavorable. The hybrid system can operate through both solar energy and electricity, offering consumers an alternative for water heating during periods of low sunlight .
