Nikki Haley, the former US ambassador to the UN, faced a significant setback as ex-President and leading Republican figure Donald Trump emerged victorious in the New Hampshire primary, as reported by the US media.

In response to a query about his primary opponent, Nikki Haley, and her decision to stay in the race until Super Tuesday, Trump nonchalantly remarked, “I don’t care if she stays in; let her do whatever she wants, it doesn’t matter.”

During an unexpected visit to a polling station in Londonderry, New Hampshire, accompanied by ally Marjorie Taylor Greene, Trump criticized current President Joe Biden, stating, “I think that Biden is the worst president in the history of this country. But we’re gonna all come back. They’re all coming back. And I think you see that here,” added the 77-year-old.

Addressing a watch party in New Hampshire, Haley remarked, “The worst kept secret in politics is how badly the Democrats want to run against Donald Trump,” emphasizing that “a Trump nomination is a Biden win.”

In response to the former president’s victory, President Joe Biden’s campaign asserted on Tuesday that the outcome of the Republican primary indicates that Donald Trump has “all but locked up” the GOP nomination for 2024.

Biden’s campaign manager, Julie Chavez Rodriguez, stated, “Tonight’s results confirm Donald Trump has all but locked up the GOP nomination, and the election-denying, anti-freedom MAGA movement has completed its takeover of the Republican Party.”

The statement further added, “Donald Trump is headed straight into a general election matchup where he’ll face the only person to have ever beaten him at the ballot box: Joe Biden.”
