ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training has appointed Nadeem Mahbub as the Acting Chairperson of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), following the completion of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mukhtar’s three-year term.
According to an official notification issued on Monday, the appointment was made under Section 8(3) of the HEC Ordinance, 2002. The decision was formally approved by the Prime Minister, who serves as the Controlling Authority of the Commission.
To Serve Until Permanent Appointment
Currently serving as the Federal Secretary for Education and an existing member of the HEC, Mr. Mahbub will take on the additional responsibilities of Acting Chairperson with immediate effect.
