COAS Addresses National Workshop Participants
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has lauded the people of Balochistan for their support and cooperation with security forces, stating that collaboration between the public and law enforcement agencies is key to lasting peace and stability in the province.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army chief made these remarks during a meeting with participants of the 20th National Workshop Balochistan.
Commitment to Counterterrorism
Addressing the participants, Field Marshal Munir said security forces, with continued public support, would remain committed to eliminating terrorism and restoring peace in Balochistan. He reaffirmed that operations against Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan would continue, stressing that Pakistan’s resolve to eliminate terrorism and its facilitators remained unwavering.
Foreign-Sponsored Proxies and Regional Security
The field marshal said foreign-sponsored proxies had attempted to disrupt peace in Balochistan, but their designs would be defeated through a decisive response by the Pakistan Armed Forces. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to dismantling terrorist networks and their infrastructure, saying the objectives of terrorists would never succeed.
Appreciation for Civil Society and Youth
Field Marshal Munir also appreciated the role of civil society, educational institutions, media, and youth in promoting peace and development, calling Balochistan Pakistan’s pride and its people the province’s greatest strength.
Participants’ Commitment
The participants of the workshop reaffirmed their commitment to Pakistan’s stability, progress, and sovereignty, ISPR said.
