Islamabad, 6 June 2025: Parks Now Family-Only Authorities in Islamabad have designated Lake View Park and Daman-e-Koh as exclusive family zones during the three-day Eid al-Adha holiday, aiming to create a secure and inclusive atmosphere for families celebrating the occasion.
As per an official notice issued by the district administration, unaccompanied men and all-male groups will not be permitted entry into these high-traffic recreational sites during the Eid festivities.
The decision, officials say, is part of a broader initiative to ensure a harassment-free and comfortable environment for women, children, and families expected to visit in large numbers.
Security arrangements have been reinforced, with law enforcement personnel deployed at all major entrances to monitor compliance. In addition to stricter screening, the administration has upgraded visitor amenities enhanced seating areas, children’s play zones, and shaded picnic spots have been prepared to accommodate the festive crowds.

To address potential traffic challenges, authorities have rolled out a dedicated traffic management plan, including the expansion of parking spaces and regulated entry flows. These logistical adjustments are designed to minimize congestion and streamline access to the designated park zones.
Parks Now Family-Only is a policy that has received strong support from local families, many of whom praised the administration’s effort to preserve a festive yet respectful atmosphere during the holidays.
Officials have urged the public to observe the new guidelines and assist park staff in maintaining order throughout the celebration period.
