TikTok Robbery Duo Nabbed in Lahore: Gang Confesses to Crimes for Social Media Videos

LAHORE/ ISLAMABAD: On Tuesday, Lahore police apprehended a two-member gang engaged in alleged robberies across the city for the purpose of creating TikTok videos, according to the reports.

Law enforcement officials stated that the perpetrators admitted to carrying out robberies and thefts solely for TikTok content, changing their attire for each video.

During the arrest, Liaquatabad police seized Rs 100,000 in cash, two mobile phones, and the motorcycle used by the criminals for their robbery sprees.

In a separate incident in Karachi, robbers stole gold worth millions from an apartment in the Napier Road area. The culprits broke into the residence, taking around 12 tolas of gold and also absconded with the children’s Penny Bank.

Upon receiving the information, the police promptly arrived at the scene, initiating the collection of evidence from the location.

Robbers Shot Dead A Food Delivery Boy In Karachi When He Resisted

Meanwhile, in Karachi, a tragic incident unfolded as a food delivery rider from a private company was fatally shot during an attempted robbery near North Nazimabad.

Initial reports indicate that the assailants attempted to rob the delivery rider, and upon facing resistance, they fired at him, causing a fatal chest injury before fleeing the scene.

The victim, identified as Muhammad Arsalan Shamshad, had been working as a delivery rider for 1.5 years and resided in North Karachi Sector 7D.

While police officials initially doubted if it was solely a robbery attempt, investigations are ongoing to ascertain the complete circumstances surrounding this incident.

This tragic event echoes a similar incident in 2021 when distressing footage emerged depicting a street criminal fatally shooting another delivery rider on a busy Karachi street.
