Colombian singer Shakira made a settlement with the prosecution to avoid a trial over charges she failed to pay 14.5 million euros ($15.74 million) in income tax between 2012 and 2014.

The deal puts an end to her trial and the prosecution changed jail time for the singer with fines.

A Colombian Judge said this on Monday during the trial’s first hearing.

Meanwhile, in a moment of historical significance that deeply resonated with fans and cultural aficionados, the globally renowned sensation Shakira graced the stage as the headlining act for the opening performance of Riyadh Season 2023 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Her enchanting concert added a vivid and culturally diverse dimension to the season, affirming that music transcends boundaries and has the remarkable ability to unite people in celebration.

Before the event, there had been swirling rumors concerning the potential cancellation of Shakira’s eagerly awaited inaugural performance in Saudi Arabia as part of Riyadh Season 2023.
