Government Sets New Lost Passport Fee Structure, Charges Up to Rs. 356,000 for Reissuance

Islamabad, Nov 9: Government Sets New Lost Passport Fee Structure, Charges Up to Rs. 356,000 for Reissuance. The Pakistani federal government has unveiled a new Lost Passport Fee schedule, with individuals facing charges of up to Rs. 356,000 for misplacing their travel documents.

For a 5-year, 36-page e-passport, the standard fee is established at Rs. 3,000, while the expedited fee is priced at Rs. 15,000.Regarding the 75-page e-passport with a ten-year validity, the regular fee stands at Rs. 15,500, and the urgent fee amounts to Rs. 27,000.

In the case of Machine-Readable Passports (MRPs), a 36-page passport valid for five years costs Rs. 4,500 for standard processing, Rs. 7,500 for urgent processing, and Rs. 13,500 for fast-track services. For a 72-page, ten-year MRP, the normal charge is Rs. 6,700, the urgent fee is Rs. 11,200, and the fast-track fee is Rs. 16,200.

A 100-page MRP valid for five years has a regular fee of Rs. 9,000, an urgent fee of Rs. 18,000, and a fast-track fee of Rs. 23,000. For a 10-year, 100-page MRP, the normal processing fee is Rs. 13,500, while the urgent fee is Rs. 17,000 and the fast-track fee is Rs. 32,000.

Distinct fees are imposed for lost passports. The charge for the first loss is Rs. 54,000, and for a third instance of loss, it escalates to Rs. 356,000.
