Iman Ali, a renowned Pakistani model and actor, recently appeared on a talk show hosted by Vasay Chaudhry, where she discussed her selective approach to choosing scripts. In response to an audience question about a project she regretted not doing, Iman mentioned the 2016 hit drama ‘Dillagi’, starring Humayun Saeed and Mehwish Hayat. She revealed that she had liked the script but declined the project due to its summer shooting schedule, as she prefers working during the fall and spring seasons.

Iman Ali emphasized the importance of being fully committed to a role, stating, “If I say yes but I am unable to do a good job, then what’s the point?” She also noted that while she does receive good scripts, her preferences are specific and selective.

The conversation also turned to a project written by Khalilur Rehman Qamar. Iman shared that she had voluntarily withdrawn from a film penned by Qamar just three days before shooting was scheduled to start. She clarified that Nadeem Baig, the director, did not influence her decision. Her withdrawal was due to disagreements with the script, which she felt needed changes that were not accepted without Qamar’s approval. Iman affirmed her decision not to work on any plays or films authored by Qamar in the future.

Additionally, in a lighter segment of the show, Iman was presented with a hypothetical situation involving traveling on the Titanic with two VIP passes. When asked whom she would choose to accompany her, Iman selected Hamza Ali Abbasi over Fawad Khan, citing her friendship with Abbasi as the reason for her choice.
