Indian actor Naseerudin Shah in trouble for his remarks about the Sindhi language in Pakistan
Indian showbiz superstar Naseeruddin Shah found himself in trouble over his remarks about the Sindhi language in Pakistan.

Indian actor claimed that the Sindhi language is not spoken in Pakistan anymore.
In a recent interview, Shah claimed, “They [Pakistan] have Balochi, they have Bari, they have Siraiki and they have Pushto. Sindhi is, of course, no longer spoken in Pakistan.”
However, his remarks about Sindhi did not sit well with Pakistanis because Sindhi is one of the widely spoken languages in Pakistan.
The Population of Sindh province is more than 55 million and millions of Sindhis speak their mother language _ Sindhi.
Several social media users and influencers felt annoyed at Naseeruddin Shah for being ignorant of Sindhi including Pakistani actress Mansha Pasha.
“As a proud Sindhi who speaks the language within her household, I beg to differ,” wrote Pasha, who is the wife of well-known lawyer and rights activist Jibran Nasir.
