Operation Al-Aqsa Flood

The Israeli death toll has surged to 200 as Hamas continues its “Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.”

Hamas claimed that its fighters had captured a military Commander of Israel. Scores of Hamas fighters have entered Israel ahead of large-scale rocket attacks on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Israel’s retaliatory air strikes in the Gaza Strip have resulted in at least 230 Palestinian fatalities and 1,610 injuries.

Israeli media, N12 News reported that a minimum of 100 Israelis have lost their lives in the ongoing attacks by the Hamas movement.

The Palestinian health ministry reported “198 martyrs and 1,610 wounded with various injuries” in the conflict.

Meanwhile, scenes of Palestinians celebrating the coordinated assault, which caught Tel Aviv completely off guard, have been circulating on social media.

Hamas attack a failure of intelligence of Israel

Questions are being raised about how Israeli intelligence agencies missed these surprise attacks by Hamas.

According to former Israeli justice minister Yossi Beilin, the issue of intelligence failure will surface once the ongoing attacks subside.

Numerous analysts have pointed out that Israel is renowned for its sophisticated intelligence capabilities and close surveillance of Palestinians.

Beilin commented, “I believe that after it concludes, there will be inquiries and tough questions will be asked. Ultimately, decisions will be made regarding this matter.”

Earlier, Hamas initiated “Operation Al-Aqsa Flood” with a relentless barrage of over 5,000 rocket attacks from the Gaza Strip. It led to the killing of more than 22 Israeli lives and injuries to over 500 individuals in southern Israel. The attack left Israelis in a state of profound shock on Saturday. Israelis are seeking refuge in bomb shelters.

Meanwhile, Hamas fighters have captured several villages and towns in Southern Israel.

Shortly after this large-scale surprise assault, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared a state of war against Palestine. He asserted that Hamas had committed a “grave mistake.”

In response to Palestinian attacks, the Israeli military confirmed launching airstrikes into Gaza, with witnesses reporting intense explosions in the region.
