Sania Nishtar
ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau today grilled former PTI ministers Sania Nishtar and Amin Aslam in the £190 million scam case.
Both recorded their statements with the NAB’s Rawalpindi office on Thursday.

The NAB’s combined investigation team questioned both individuals for over an hour. NAB is in the process of recording statements from all members of former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s cabinet as part of the case.
In July, Khan’s former Principal Secretary, Azam Khan, also recorded his statement in connection with the case.
This case revolves around the transfer of £190 million from the UK to Pakistan via a National Crimes Agency Settlement involving Malik Riaz.
The case alleges that former PM Khan engaged in collusion and corruption that prevented the money. The money intended for the national exchequer, but PTI government returned it to the property tycoon.
It also accuses Imran Khan of receiving land for the Al-Qadir trust in exchange, a trust overseen by his wife, Bushra Bibi.
The Cabinet’s Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has approved a gradual increase in the margins for petroleum dealers and oil marketing companies.
The ECC has increased their margins from Sept 15. The Ministry of Energy initiated the decision and submitted a relevant summary.
The ECC has chosen to boost the margins for petroleum dealers on both MS and HSD by Rs1.64 per liter.
Furthermore, the ECC raised the OMCs’ margins on MS and HSD by Rs1.87 per liter, starting from Sept 15, 2023.
Additionally, the ECC turned down the PIA’s request for a provision of Rs 23 billion. ECC also rejected the deferral of Rs 1.3 billion per month to the Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR).
