Nawaz Sharif reaches Islaabad
ISLAMABAD: The former Prime Minister of Pakistan and PML-N Nawaz Sharif reaches Islamabad today, marking his comeback after an absence of four years.
The flight originating from Dubai crossed into Pakistani airspace at approximately 2:30 p.m. and touched down at Islamabad Airport at 1:50 p.m.
Notably, the PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif is expected to proceed directly from Islamabad to Lahore Airport instead of heading to Jati Umra.

Following this, Nawaz Sharif boarded a flight headed for Lahore after receiving clearance from the air traffic controller.
Nawaz Sharif’s biometric data was duly recorded by the airport authorities, after which his legal team convened with him at Islamabad Airport.
The legal team held discussions with Nawaz Sharif in the airport’s guest lounge, focusing on a range of legal matters.
During this meeting, Nawaz Sharif signed the necessary petitions for the reinstatement of appeals related to the Avenfield and Al-Azizia references, and the legal team prepared the required documents to pursue the reinstatement of appeals against his previous sentences.
Meanwhile,
Nawaz Sharif will get the status of the State Guest at Islamabad International Airport on his arrival today. The State Guest Lounge at Islamabad Airport has been meticulously cleaned and will serve as a resting place for Nawaz Sharif.
Subsequently, Nawaz Sharif will depart for Lahore after his stay at the State Guest Lounge for a couple of hours.
It’s important to note that the flight named ‘Umeed-e-Pakistan’ (Hope for Pakistan) has landed at Islamabad airport.
According to PML-N sources, Nawaz Sharif departed for Pakistan via the Boeing 737-800 aircraft along with 152 companions, including Sharif’s associates, staff members, and party supporters.
Joining Nawaz on the flight are his personal physician, Dr. Adnan, Nasir Janjua, and Senator Irfan Siddiqui.
Reports also suggest that 24 journalists and news anchors are among the passengers on this flight.
Nawaz returned via a Fly Dubai flight, FZ-4525, departing from Dubai on Saturday.
