Pakistan, together with a coalition of Muslim and Arab states, has strongly condemned Israel’s proposed annexation of the occupied West Bank, describing it as a clear breach of international law. In a firm statement, Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry denounced Israel’s legislative attempts to assert sovereignty over the West Bank and the Ma’ale Adumim settlement, calling the move “provocative, unlawful, and destabilizing.”
The statement emphasized that any unilateral annexation undermines peace efforts and threatens the stability of the entire region. Pakistan reiterated that the plan directly violates multiple United Nations Security Council resolutions, particularly Resolution 2334, which prohibits altering the demographic or political status of territories occupied since 1967.
In a coordinated response, more than a dozen Muslim-majority nations and major regional organizations—including the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation—issued a collective condemnation. They reaffirmed that Israel has no legal sovereignty over Palestinian lands and reiterated their unwavering support for a two-state solution.
These countries called for the establishment of an independent State of Palestine along the pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. Pakistan urged the global community to take decisive action to hold Israel accountable, uphold international law, and protect the rights and dignity of the Palestinian people.
