The Sydney Sixers have officially introduced their new Babaristan Fan Zone, a unique tribute to Pakistani batting superstar Babar Azam, ahead of the Big Bash League (BBL) 2025–26 season. The announcement, made through the team’s official social media channels, featured the tagline: “Introducing Babaristan – A Fan Zone Like No Other.”
According to the Sixers’ management, the goal of the initiative is to celebrate cricket’s global spirit and honor the growing Pakistani fan base in Australia. The Babaristan Fan Zone will offer exclusive seating, themed merchandise, and interactive experiences designed to reflect both Babar Azam’s excellence and Pakistan’s passionate cricket culture.
Babar Azam himself shared a warm message for fans, saying he was “excited to invite everyone to the Babaristan Fan Zone at the Sydney Cricket Ground” and encouraged supporters to “bring their passion and energy to make the SCG our home.”
The Babaristan Fan Zone will be active at every major Sixers home match, starting with their December 17 clash against the Adelaide Strikers. The BBL 2025–26 season runs from December 14, 2025, to January 25, 2026, featuring 44 thrilling matches among eight teams.
With this innovative fan experience, the Sydney Sixers aim to strengthen the bond between Australian and Pakistani cricket lovers, creating a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere that celebrates both cultures.
