PSX surpasses 120,000, closes highest ever in history

Karachi, June 3, 2025: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) closed at a record high with 1,573 points gain. Opening at Monday’s closing of 118,877.80 points and after losing 800 points, today (Tuesday) the index jumped to 120,450.87 points.

This is a new milestone for the benchmark KSE-100 index as trading closed at the highest level in the market’s history. This is the first time that KSE-100 index has surpassed the 120,000-point mark.

During the past few trading sessions, the PSX had been showing signs of strength and improving investor confidence. However, on Monday, despite opening on a bullish note, the market slipped and closed with notable losses.

Today, the government’s deal for repaying energy sector’s circular debt, coupled with the approval of financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and improving positivity of relief in the upcoming budget, investor confidence returned to the market.
