Islamabad, June 10, 2025: In a bold move to stimulate national growth, the federal government of Pakistan has announced a historic Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2024-25 worth Rs1,000 billion. The massive development budget is aimed at overhauling critical sectors including infrastructure, energy, education, and regional uplift projects across the country.
Out of the total allocation, Rs682.79 billion will directly support development schemes under 41 federal ministries and divisions, while Rs317.20 billion has been reserved for two major corporations, mainly for infrastructure and power initiatives.

- Over Rs90 billion has been earmarked for the Power Division and NTDC to expand and secure Pakistan’s power transmission networks.
- A significant Rs133.42 billion is set aside for water resource projects, underlining Pakistan’s growing focus on water security and irrigation sustainability.
