ISLAMABAD: Saudi Arabia has introduced E-Visa (electronic visas) facility for Pakistan and other countries. It will pace up the visa issuance process.

The official announcement came from the Saudi General Aviation Authority, which has implemented a new system utilizing QR codes to issue e-visas.

This system is now operational in Saudi missions located in Pakistan, Turkey, Morocco, Vietnam, and Sri Lanka.

Meanwhile, Kenya, Thailand, Bangladesh, India, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Egypt will also get an e-Visa facility.

The introduction of e-visas is a part of the KSA’s ongoing efforts to enhance the services of its consulate offices and streamline visa procedures.

The country aims to modernize the visa-granting process, covering various types of visas, such as those for employment, residence, and visits.

Recent improvements in Saudi Arabia’s immigration procedures and a relaxation of visa regulations demonstrate the nation’s commitment to attracting more foreign investment and promoting tourism.
