SBP Mandates Banks to Report All Loans Issued to Women

The disclosure of loans awarded to women and women-owned/managed firms in annual financial statements is a directive issued by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) to all banks and development finance institutions.

The central bank published a circular on Monday that stated that this regulation would take effect with the accounting year that ends on December 31, 2024.There is a new table under Note 9’s sub-notes 9.2.1 & 9.2.2 titled “Advances to Women, Women-owned and Managed Enterprises” that lists the advancements made by women-owned and managed businesses.
