Suryakumar Yadav Wins IPL 2025 Most Valuable Player Award

Islamabad, June 4, 2025: Mumbai Indians’ star batsman Suryakumar Yadav has been named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Indian Premier League 2025 season.

The right-handed batter, who also leads India in T20 internationals, collected 320.5 MVP points over the course of 16 matches. His strong batting display included 69 fours and 38 sixes, while he also held onto six catches in the field.

Suryakumar scored a total of 717 runs during the tournament, finishing with a strike rate of 167.91. He registered five half-centuries, with his best performance being an unbeaten 73. His average across the season stood at an impressive 65.18.

His performances were central to Mumbai Indians’ journey to the playoffs, though the team was knocked out by Punjab Kings in Qualifier 2.

At 34, Suryakumar Yadav joins Sachin Tendulkar as the only other Mumbai Indians player to win the MVP title, with the former India captain securing the award back in 2010.
