At least nine people have been confirmed dead following a tragic plane crash in the southern Brazilian city of Gramado on Sunday morning. The crash occurred when a small aircraft, a Piper Cheyenne 400 turboprop, slammed into a commercial area, causing significant damage and loss of life.

The aircraft, which had taken off from the nearby municipality of Canela, crashed into the chimney of a building, struck the second floor of a house, and then fell onto a furniture store.
