To set a record, the 20-year-old climber climbed the 8,080-meter Gasherbrum-1, the eleventh-tallest mountain in the world. Shehroze is an enthusiastic climber who began at the age of 11, reaching the top of Makra Peak (3,885m). Then, at the age of 12, he climbed Musa ka Massalah (4,080m), then the Chembra Peak (4,600m).

The mountaineer’s father, Kashif Salman, confirmed that Shehroze had reached the summit at 4:09 am on Friday.

The climber has scaled each of Pakistan’s five eight-thousanders. Just 12 days after British climber Adriana Brownlee set the previous record for being the youngest to accomplish the accomplishment, he exceeded it.

His climb on K2, the second-highest peak in the world, in July 2021 made him the youngest mountaineer to do it. He climbed Manaslu and Everest in the same year.

At the age of 17, he climbed Broad Peak (8,047 meters), getting the nickname “The Broad Boy,” and at the age of 18, he reached Khusar Gang-Alpine Style (6,050 meters).
