The Pakistan Army has announced the successful completion of Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, a comprehensive retaliatory military campaign conducted in response to India’s cross-border missile attacks that began on the night of May 6 and 7, resulting in the deaths of Pakistani civilians, including women and children.

Addressing the nation through the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), DG ISPR Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry stated that the operation was conducted on May 10 as part of a broader military conflict termed “Marka-e-Haq”, aimed at restoring Pakistan’s deterrence posture and responding to what he described as India’s “brutal and cowardly aggression.”

Al-Fatah Missiles and Precision Strikes Mark Pakistani Retaliation

Lt Gen Chaudhry confirmed that Al-Fatah F1 and F2 long-range missiles, loitering munitions, precision-guided artillery, and Pakistan Air Force assets were deployed to strike 26 critical Indian military facilities, including:

  • Airbases at Suratgarh, Bhuj, Sirsa, Naliya, Adampur, Bhatinda, Ambala, Pathankot, and Srinagar
  • S-400 air defense systems at Adampur and Bhuj
  • BrahMos missile storage facilities at Beas and Nagrota
  • Military logistic hubs, radar stations, and command headquarters across Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK) and parts of mainland India.

The ISPR stated that “key terror-enabling infrastructure” — including training camps, proxy-supporting intelligence outposts, and drone operation centers — were specifically targeted and neutralized.

Joint Operations and Technological Superiority Highlighted

Pakistan described the operation as a textbook example of tri-services jointness, demonstrating air, land, sea, cyber, and space domain synergy. The use of real-time situational awareness and network-centric warfare allowed precision engagements at decisive points, ISPR noted.

In addition to kinetic strikes, the Pakistan Armed Forces reportedly executed cyber operations that temporarily crippled Indian military infrastructure, communication, and logistics systems, degrading their operational tempo.

US Mediation and Ceasefire Following Operation

The military confrontation de-escalated following the intervention of US President Donald Trump, who claimed that American diplomacy had prevented a “bad nuclear war.” After the Pakistani counteroffensive, both countries reportedly agreed to an immediate ceasefire, following hotline communications between their Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs).

National Support and Acknowledgements

In its official statement, the ISPR thanked:

  • The Pakistani public for its unwavering support and prayers
  • The vibrant media for resisting Indian disinformation campaigns
  • Scientists and engineers for developing the niche technologies that enabled precision targeting
  • Political leaders across party lines for unified resolve during the conflict
  • Prime Minister and cabinet members for “destiny-altering decisions”

“We bow our heads in humility to Allah for enabling us to deliver justice,” the statement read. “This was a message to all: Pakistan will never tolerate aggression or terrorism under the guise of nuclear deterrence.”

Indian Claims of Drone Violations Rejected

Meanwhile, Pakistan dismissed Indian media reports alleging Pakistani drones had violated Indian airspace, calling them “fabricated lies.” Instead, the ISPR claimed it was India that violated Pakistani airspace using drones for intimidation. In a show of strength, Pakistani armed drones reportedly hovered over New Delhi and other Indian cities, displaying long-range precision capabilities.

Concern Over Indian-Backed Terrorism

The ISPR also highlighted a spike in India-sponsored terrorism across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan during the eastern front operations. “This proves India’s direct involvement in destabilizing Pakistan,” the statement added, noting that proxy networks were activated to distract and weaken Pakistan’s defenses.

Final Message: Pakistan’s Deterrence is Restored

Summarizing the operation, the Pakistan Army declared Operation Bunyanum Marsoos a strategic success, showcasing Pakistan’s ability to deliver a decisive retaliatory response to protect national sovereignty and regional stability.

“No one should doubt our resolve,” the ISPR concluded. “Whenever Pakistan’s sovereignty is threatened, the response will be swift, comprehensive, and decisive.”
