The United Nations climate agency has warned that humanity has only two years left to mitigate the catastrophic effects of climate change. The agency has urged developed countries to take immediate and effective measures to curb emissions that contribute to global warming.

The agency’s Executive Secretary, Simon Steele, acknowledged that this warning might seem dramatic, but stressed the urgency of the situation. He posed the question: “Who really has these two years to save the world?” The answer, he said, is every individual on this planet.

He noted a growing demand for action on climate change at both the social and political levels, as people are beginning to feel its impacts in their daily lives and household expenses.

It is important to note that this warning is particularly directed at the G20 nations, which include developed and developing countries such as the USA, China, and India. These countries are responsible for 80 percent of the heat-increasing emissions on Earth.
