Islamabad, July 12, 2025: Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) Chief Executive Officer Muhammad Naeem Jan said on Friday that a new app called ‘Apna Meter Apni Reading – Power Smart Application’ has been launched as part of ongoing reforms. This app will let users take part in their own electricity bill process.
He said the government and the Ministry of Energy (Power Division) are working hard to fix customer problems quickly and provide cheaper electricity.
“Using this smart application, consumers will be able to take their own meter readings every month on the designated date and send them to IESCO which will help timely, accurate, error-free, and transparent meter reading,” he said in a statement.
The main goal of this step is to stop wrong or late meter readings by workers and let users have more control over their bills. It will also help them check their electricity use and billing accuracy.
