Islamabad, June 19, 2025: In a landmark move to promote religious tourism and cultural harmony, the Balochistan government has officially declared the Hinglaj Mata Temple in Lasbela district a global tourism destination.
Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti made the announcement following a strategic meeting with Senator Danesh Kumar. The session focused on developing religious tourism avenues for minority communities and uplifting the province’s image as a symbol of spiritual inclusion and cultural richness.
Hinglaj Mata Temple, one of the oldest Hindu pilgrimage sites in Pakistan, holds immense religious value. Nestled in the rugged mountains of Hingol National Park, the site attracts hundreds of thousands of Hindu devotees annually—both from across Pakistan and the global diaspora.
By recognizing the temple as a world-class tourism site, Balochistan aims to showcase its religious heritage and cultural diversity to international audiences. “Our province stands as a beacon of coexistence. This initiative highlights the spiritual and historical importance of Hinglaj Mata and sends a message of unity,” said CM Bugti.
