Karachi weather alert: Overcast Skies, Heat Persists

Islamabad, May 12, 2025: Despite a breeze blowing from the southwest at 10 km/h, the intensity of heat in the city remains unchanged, says the Meteorological Department.

Today, the minimum temperature recorded was 28.1°C, while the current temperature is 30°C. The humidity level in the air is 69%, according to the Met Department.

The maximum temperature is expected to remain between 36°C and 38°C today.

Due to the humid Karachi weather, the heat will feel 2 to 3 degrees higher than the actual temperature.

There is currently no chance of rain in the city. Most areas of Balochistan are expected to remain dry. Clouds from the pre-monsoon showers have also cleared in some districts.

According to the Met Office, there is no forecast of rain in any part of Balochistan today or tomorrow.

The Karachi weather remains hot and dry across most parts of the province. Sibi continues to be in the grip of extreme heat, with the temperature recorded at 41°C today.

After the end of the pre-monsoon rain spell, hot and dry conditions prevail throughout Balochistan.

Today, the maximum temperatures recorded were:

  • Quetta: 34°C
  • Kalat: 30°C
  • Ziarat: 24°C
  • Zhob: 30°C
  • Sibi: 41°C
  • Turbat: 40°C
  • Nokundi: 41°C
  • Chaman: 32°C
  • Gwadar: 33°C
  • Jiwani: 33°C
