Islamabad, 30 May 2025:  Karachi Weather Alert has been issued as temperatures continue to soar in the metropolitan hub of Shahr-e-Quaid.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecasted another day of extreme heat and dry conditions, cautioning residents to remain indoors during peak daylight hours.

Karachi Weather Alert has been shared to remind citizens of ongoing weather risks and the need for heat protection.

Mercury Climbs, Humidity Drops

According to the Met Office, the temperature in Karachi is currently hovering around 35°C, though the feels-like temperature is reported closer to 37°C due to dry air and warm gusts.

The daily high is expected to touch 41°C, as Karachi Weather Alert continues to signal heatwave conditions.

Humidity levels remain unusually low, recorded at less than 40 percent, contributing to a sharp rise in heat discomfort. Winds are blowing in from the west, measured at 15 to 18 km/h, but offer little relief from the oppressive heat.

Health Experts Urge Caution During Midday Hours

Public health officials have strongly advised Karachi residents to limit outdoor activities between 11 AM and 3 PM, the hours during which sun exposure is at its peak.

They recommended increasing fluid intake, particularly by consuming cool beverages, to prevent dehydration and heatstroke.

Medical professionals have further warned that prolonged exposure to high temperatures can trigger serious health complications, especially for children, the elderly, and those with pre-existing conditions.

City on Heatwave Watch as High Temperatures Continue

The Karachi Weather Alert remains active as city authorities monitor the heatwave closely. Emergency services have been placed on alert, and citizens are being encouraged to remain vigilant and check in on neighbors, especially vulnerable individuals.
