On a crisp autumn evening in Lahore, the much-anticipated Pakistani romance film Neelofar unveiled its first song with a beautifully curated launch event, setting the mood for its 28 November nationwide release.
Hosted at the historic Sir Ganga Ram House, the venue’s timeless charm provided the perfect backdrop for a night of music, art and emotion. Leading stars Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan welcomed guests from across Pakistan’s entertainment, fashion and music sectors, while Yasir Hussain guided the evening with warmth and finesse. The song — a soulful composition titled “Tu Meri” — was performed by Vicky Haider and encapsulated the film’s poetic narrative of love beyond sight and spoken words.
The event drew a star-studded crowd including Seemi Raheel, Zeb Bangash, Nameer Khan, Mooroo and Ken Doll. Beyond the celebrities, the setting, décor and musical ambiance all contributed to an intimate yet grand celebration of Pakistani cinema’s evolving romantic storytelling.
In the film, Fawad plays Mansoor Ali Khan, a writer, while Mahira portrays Neelofar — a visually-impaired woman whose spirit and radiance drive the story. Directed and written by Ammar Rasool, and produced by Fawad, Hassaan Khalid and Usaf Shariq, the project has been hailed as one of Pakistan’s most heartfelt love stories in recent years.
As the first song resonates across screens, the film gears up to charm audiences on 28 November. With its blend of emotion, music and visual splendour, Neelofar promises to redefine romance in Pakistani cinema.
