She was a renowned TikTok creator, hailing from Chitral, and residing in Islamabad with her family. Her videos that have surfaced on multiple social media platforms show her to be a happy, full-of-life young girl, whose life was abruptly and senselessly ended yesterday by a man named ‘Kaka’.

Islamabad Police arrested Kaka from Faisalabad today and after interrogating him found that he shot Sana Yousuf for repeatedly rejecting his advances.

IGP Rizvi revealed during the press conference that Sana Yousuf’s murder was motivated by “a series of rejections.” Kaka had tried to approach here multiple times, and failing to receive her attention, he had also made several attempts to contact her on May 29 – which happened to be her birthday. He showed up at her house for the same purpose, the IGP said

Kaka had proposed to Sana Yousuf which she had refused to accept. She was also not willing to speak to him, which made Kaka angry. He went to her house on June 2, and around 5 PM he shot her, twice.

Islamabad Police have recovered the murder weapon and Sana Yousuf’s mobile phone – an iPhone according to IGP Rizvi – from Kaka’s possession.

This brutal murder has sparked widespread outrage once again, with many social media users comparing this incident to the murder of Qandeel Baloch and Noor Mukadam.
