U.S. President Donald Trump, speaking from the White House, expressed concern over the rising hostilities. “It’s a shame, we just heard about it,” he said. “I just hope it ends very quickly.”
He acknowledged the long-standing conflict between India and Pakistan, remarking that “they’ve been fighting for many, many decades and centuries, actually, if you really think about it.”
The U.S. State Department reiterated its call for peace through dialogue. “We continue to urge Pakistan and India to work towards a responsible resolution that maintains long-term peace and regional stability in South Asia,” said spokesperson Tammy Bruce.

UN Chief Deeply Concerned
UN Secretary-General António Guterres also voiced deep concern. Through his spokesperson Stephane Dujarric, Guterres called for “maximum military restraint from both countries.”
“The world cannot afford a military confrontation between India and Pakistan,” the statement emphasized, reflecting growing anxiety over nuclear escalation.
China Calls for Restraint
China’s foreign ministry expressed regret over India’s actions and urged both parties to act responsibly. “We are concerned about the current situation,” said the Chinese government. “India and Pakistan must prioritize peace and regional stability.”

Turkey Backs Pakistan
Turkey joined the growing list of concerned nations, with Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan personally calling Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar to express solidarity. According to Pakistan’s Foreign Office, both ministers agreed to stay in close communication amid the evolving situation.
Fidan reportedly expressed Turkey’s “deep concern over the worsening regional security environment” and emphasized support for Pakistan in the face of Indian aggression.

Russia, maintaining strong bilateral relations with both New Delhi and Islamabad, also urged restraint. In a statement issued Wednesday, the Russian foreign ministry said it was “deeply concerned” by the confrontation and emphasized the need for dialogue and diplomacy.
