About 72869 Pakistanis to perform Hajj this year under regular hajj scheme
ISLAMABAD: About 72869 Pakistanis will perform Hajj this year under the Regular Hajj Scheme. For this purpose, the Economic Coordination Committee of the Cabinet today approved all the applications (72,869) for Hajj in 2023.
The ECC also approved an additional financial requirement of $163 million for Hajj 2023.
Finance Division stated this in a press statement issued on Monday, April 10.Â
In 2023, the quota of Hajj for Pakistan was around 180,000 _ however, only 72,869 Pakistanis have submitted applications through Regular Hajj Scheme for performing Hajj.
The committee has decided that all received applications under the Regular Hajj Scheme will be declared successful without balloting.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony presented details on the Hajj Policy-2023. It included the number of applications received under the Regular Hajj Scheme and unutilized quota under regular and sponsorship Hajj schemes.
The decisions brought relief to thousands of eager pilgrims who have been eagerly waiting for their turn to perform Hajj.
