China announced that it will host the third Belt and Road Forum in Beijing next month, with the participation of 90 countries.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning disclosed that representatives from over 90 countries will attend the event. The foreign guests include leaders, ministers, and official delegates from Belt and Road partner nations.
Meanwhile, individuals from various sectors such as business, think tanks, and civil society, are actively supporting BRI cooperation.

Furthermore, Mao Ning mentioned that leaders and representatives of numerous international organizations have also affirmed their presence.
He said that more countries will confirm their participation in the days ahead. Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to visit China for the One Belt One Road forum in October.
Other foreign leaders, including Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Argentine President Alberto Fernandez, are also slated to attend the BRF.
China has inked BRI agreements with more than 150 countries and over 30 international organizations. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin noted that over the past decade, BRI has yielded significant results. It led to the establishment of over 3,000 cooperation projects. The projects have attracted nearly $1 trillion in investment.
Chinese President Xi Jinping has presented the Chinese BRF initiative as a modern Silk Road for trade between East and West.
Before the COVID-19 pandemic, China held the Belt & Road Forums in 2017 and 2019, drawing leaders and officials from numerous countries. More than 150 countries have joined the BRI since its introduction in 2013.
CDA board enhances Metrobus fares

The board of the Capital Development Authority approved an increase in fares for three routes of Islamabad’s Metrobus service.
The CDA board tabled the proposal for fare hikes on Tuesday and subsequently approved it.
The CDA is expected to announce a notification for the fare increase soon. So far, the CDA is not increasing the fare of the Red Metro that runs on the Pindi to Secretariat route.
The board of the CDA approved the fares for the Green Line from Rs 30 to 50. It operates from PIMS to Bhara Kahu. The Blue Line fare also increased to Rs 50, from the existing Rs 30 fare. It runs from PIMS to the Koral route in Islamabad.
